The glazed extension at Studfold is a fantastic way of bringing the outdoors in, meaning the stunning views from this rural farmhouse can be enjoyed all year round.
The clients were keen to use locally sourced materials and energy-conserving methods in the build. This included double layers of under floor insulation, plus full cavity wall insulation in dwarf walls, the chimney breast and ceilings. The cavity walls were stone faced, both externally and internally, the roof reinstated with Indian stone flags, and the superb aluminium powder coated conservatory was added.
This extension is a stunning example of extended modern living accommodation, working in perfect harmony with the beautiful architecture of the original farmhouse.
